When you are planning your destination wedding location, the world is literally your oyster. You can choose a spot based on an aesthetic and vibe that you love (and make your photographer do backflips just thinking about it).
Zsuzsi and Pat (yes Zsuzsi, there are more of us) knew that they wanted something romantic yet dramatic for a backdrop. They chose the city of Los Cabos, Mexico for their wedding and found this incredible beach and rock cliff for their mini destination shoot to fully take advantage of the location.
We left the hotel towards the pier that ferry’s you to the incredible spot only to find out that the navy closed access to the beach due to HUGE waves! We were totally thrown, what do we do? We spoke to quite a few people who wanted to sell us a sunset boat ride (not the same thing at all) until we finally got the idea to cab to a nearby hotel and ask them to allow us access to their beach. So after another ride and speaking with some security guards, giving away our id’s for a while, we were allowed in. Man oh man was it totally worth it. Not only did we get access to the beach but we also got the sunset side of the cliff and had the most incredibly warm light to work with. I may have done a cartwheel to celebrate.
