Saying “I do” to a wedding photographer should give you the same kind of butterflies you felt when you first said “yes” to the one that stole your heart. With an "all in" approach to wedding photography, I don't skip a (heart)beat. Learn more about the experience of working together and what to expect from the moment you first book to your wedding photoshoot and the day your photo gallery arrives.
First off, congratulations are in order! You’re planning the special day you’ve been dreaming of down to every little detail. Let’s meet so you can walk me through everything you envision so we can chat about how we can develop a photo gallery that brings it to life.
Hooray, I am so happy that we are a great fit! Now that we’ve decided to work together to document your day, sign your agreement and reserve your date so you’re ready to move forward with authentic images of your love story.
On your special day, you want everyone and everything to work together seamlessly so you can sit back and soak in the moment. Working closely with you and your planner, we’ll build a personalized schedule, finalize the details, discuss the perfect wedding photoshoot locations, and chat about anything else you'd like, from my favourite vendors to choosing the perfect look.
Take it in: your day has finally arrived. This is the moment that all of your plans and details come together to create memories you will remember for a lifetime. On your big day, focus on being the same authentic you that your partner fell in love with in the first place — I'll focus on capturing the in-between moments you didn’t even know happened. Together, we’ll document a timeless, romantic collection of portraits and candids that make you feel like you’re reliving your day all over again.
The wait is over: your wedding photos are ready! Don’t forget to bring the tissues. Presented on a beautiful USB and online gallery, your wedding pictures have been expertly curated and edited to bring your most treasured memories to life.
If you purchased an album as a part of your wedding package, we'll turn your photos into timeless heirlooms for your heart and home. Whether you want to print some of your favourite wedding photos to frame or create a fine art album of the story of your day, we’ll discuss the heartfelt keepsake that, just like your love, withstands a lifetime.
10 to 12 weeks. I am quite particular when it comes to editing and colour correction. I want to make sure that the whole gallery is perfectly cohesive. Specific attention is given to each photo at a time which means no filters or “copy and paste” edits making the final product, achieving true cohesion and perfection.
I recommend having two outfits if you can swing it. A dressy outfit. And a little more casual one. Remember, this is a photoshoot so it is a heightened sense of reality. Make sure that you choose outfits that you feel comfortable in but also look fabulous. You don’t want anything to distract from you guys and your chemistry in the photos but rather adds to the aesthetic and vibe. A few quick notes for outfits: Fabrics with movement and flow can add an element of softness to a photo (eg. Flowy skirts, dresses, pants etc). I would try to avoid being too “matchy matchy” with each other. Stay away from tiny patterns (they don’t always translate well on photos) and distracting elements like large logos. Try layering accessories like jackets, scarves to create “fake outfit changes” and variety.
Yes, I include two photographers with all wedding packages. This ensures the most diverse and best coverage. We divide and conquer, split up in the morning so one of us will be with each of you and then come together to get two sets of creative mind on the rest of the day.
Absolutely! I use the skills I learned as a tour guide and gymnastics/ski coach to direct groups quickly and efficiently all while having a smile on my face. This portion is meant to be quick, easy and painless.
The first thing you’ll receive is an online gallery with a highlights video (about 100 photos) and your downloadable Full Wedding Gallery. This is the best first way to see your photos and a great way to share with your family and friends. You will also receive a beautiful crystal USB with your Highlights Slideshow and your Full Wedding Gallery of 800+ fully edited print ready photographs.
Absolutely I will. I find interacting with each other and myself through movement and just being yourselves is going to get you fabulous results. I’m also very conscious about body positioning and will absolutely help you through how to look your best in the photos.
Absolutely! Just let me know which vendors you are still searching for and I’d be happy to recommend some great companies that I’ve worked with in the past. You can also check in on my Instagram page for specific vendor tags you may be looking for.
I love a bright and airy aesthetic with an elevated quality to it. I want your photographs to embody a heightened sense of reality; to be truly timeless and elegant with an editorial flair. To achieve this I focus on getting it right in camera first! Then I’ll elevate the “punchiness” of things like colour and contrast all while making sure to not cross that fine line where things become trendy, or unrealistic. I stay away from using filters and make sure to edit each photo one at a time giving them the attention they need to complete a truly cohesive body of work.
Ideally, it’s nice to have natural light to work with. However, this is not always the case. But fear not, we are very experienced with using flashes in darker or less than ideal lighting situations. In this case, it’s best to also look for a photo location that has more natural light for your portraits.
A first look, or reveal is a scheduled opportunity for the two of you to see each other for the first time all done up before the actual ceremony. It replaces the “first look” while one of you walks down the aisle. Benefits of doing a first look: It can alleviate a little bit of the nervous energy of the day before the ceremony. First looks are great if you have a later ceremony because you can do all of your portraits before then. This also means that you can enjoy cocktail hour with your guests. If you prefer the traditional route of seeing each other at the ceremony for the first time, that moment is pretty darn special! This is a great option if you are having an earlier ceremony with lots of time in between the ceremony and the reception.
That’s fantastic news. In order to solidify your date I require a nonrefundable retainer of 30% and a signed contract. That’s it and the day is yours.
Well the beauty of full day coverage is that it’s flexible coverage of up to 12 hours. This means that if you are running half an hour behind you don’t have to worry about us leaving early. We will be there to try to help you get back on track and we will be there to capture every important moment on the day. If you find you need more than the 12 hours you can always add additional hours on the day of.
I am so honoured to be invited to share your precious day: to capture your forever in pictures and document every rush of emotion as you celebrate this next chapter of your love story. Find your happily ever after by reaching out to schedule your first meeting so we can chat through everything you envision for your special day.
